VP Corporate Development

Remote - Remote, FL

American Vascular (AVA) is looking to add a Vice President of Corporate Development who will lead organic and inorganic growth initiatives for our private‑equity–backed healthcare platform. This leader will partner closely with executive leadership, the Board, and private equity sponsors to drive M&A strategy, physician/practice recruiting support, de novo expansion, and enterprise‑level strategic initiatives.

This role owns the full deal lifecycle—from strategy and sourcing through diligence, negotiation, closing, until the hand-off to an internal integration team. This is a key role in positioning the platform for long‑term value creation and potential liquidity events.

This is a remote, US only, position that will require travel. 

Key Responsibilities

M&A & Inorganic Growth

  • Execute New Business Acquisition strategy aligned with Senior Leadership
  • Lead end‑to‑end M&A process: sourcing, evaluation, financial modeling, valuation, negotiations, diligence, governance
  • Build and maintain deal pipelines, investment theses, and market intelligence
  • Oversee cross‑functional diligence workstreams and external advisors (legal, financial, QoE, etc.)
  • Drive post‑transaction integration planning and execution to ensure value realization

Organic Growth & Platform Expansion

  • Support physician recruiting and practice expansion initiatives, including:
    • Economic modeling and pro‑forma development
    • Deal structuring and negotiations
  • Lead or support de novo site launches and same‑store service expansion (e.g., ancillaries, new service lines)
  • Identify and execute internal investment opportunities to improve growth and operating leverage

Strategy & Value Creation

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop enterprise‑level growth and efficiency strategies
  • Lead market research, competitive intelligence, and strategic analysis for leadership and Board review
  • Design and optimize internal processes related to deal execution, governance, and integration
  • Support recapitalizations, refinancing, or exit planning processes as needed

Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
  • 8 to 15 years of experience in:
    • Corporate development, M&A, or strategy roles
    • PE‑backed healthcare platforms and/or healthcare investment banking
  • Proven track record of leading and closing healthcare M&A transactions
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Proven success working within a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Experience identifying, engaging, and qualifying new opportunities while maintaining a forward moving pipeline
  • Experience qualifying prospects efficiently to include budget, need, timing, etc.
  • Highly collaborative, execution‑oriented leader with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
